The Tale of Chipilo: Chapter Seven

Summary: Join Dogwood Canyon Audubon Center for a daily reading of the Tale of Chipilo, a story about a Golden-cheeked Warbler. Chapter Seven.

 Show Notes:

The Tale of Chipilo is the result of the enthusiasm and initiative of Jose Arturo Garcia Dominguez and Jose Raul Vazquez Perez. They wrote and illustrated the Spanish version of the story while participating in a research project to study the Golden-cheeked Warbler. A migratory bird species in danger of extinction.

Funding to print the Spanish version of the story was provided by the US Department of the Army, The Nature Conservancy, and Instituto de Historia Natural y Ecologia.

For more information about both English and Spanish versions of the story and to access the instructional resources that accompany the English version visit www.TaleofChipilo.com.

You can help Chipilo and all his migrating friends by donating to ProNatura Sur, a non-profit partnered with Audubon Texas through the Rio Grande Joint Venture, to help sustain the habitats needed by the Golden-cheeked Warblers in their wintering grounds. https://www.pronatura-sur.org/web/
